Artist Note
"When I first saw this quote, I was so inspired by it. It resonated so much with my own experience as an immigrant Latina in the U.S. We live in a system that's not made for us, on the contrary, it works intentionally against our dreams and hopes. But, our courage and passion is much stronger than any fear or challenge that comes our way. We push through the darkness and use what we're given to make something better. I feel like that's the spirit of our immigrant community in the U.S., especially our Mexican people.
So, this vibrant and symbolic artwork represents the strength of marginalized communities, honoring growth, resistance, and cultural pride. I hope it inspires you and those around you, to not give up, to keep going."
