"This piece, like all my pieces, is very personal. This is a cry against femicide all over the world. I found inspiration in the many feminist movements led by mothers, sisters, aunts, friends, grandmothers, daughters, and many others who have lost a loved one at the hands of evil men.  My wish for all women to be alive and free, to live free from fear, from hurt, from domestic violence, from sexual violence, and from anything that seeks to take our power."
