Artist Note
"I created this piece as an offering to the memories we carry and the roots we refuse to forget. Cempasúchil has always felt like a bridge between worlds: its color, fragrance, and presence guiding our loved ones back home during Día de Muertos.
Using the Nahuatl name “Cempoalxochitl” was important to me as a way of honoring Indigenous language and the original story of this flower. My hope is that this print lives on altars, nightstands, and quiet corners where you remember your people, your ancestors, and the places that made you."
